Polpharma has inaugurated a new state of the art 300 sq.m. Process Development Labs complex for the development of APIs and advanced intermediates. The labs are designed against the highest safety and environmental standards and are equipped with latest technologies to enable Polpharma efficiently scale-up developed APIs to the recently expanded small scale GMP API manufacturing facility and pilot plant.
The laboratories are equipped with the latest state-of-art process development and validation equipment; worth to mention the capability to realize at very small scale hydrogenation and amidation reaction in fully safe mode within a standard building enclosure. In addition the realization of the laboratories in the same working environment of R&D Pharma development laboratories will enhance the cooperation between the different company business units to shorten the overall development time line. Thanks to this last investment Polpharma can claim to be in the fore-front in the API development from a regional leader to a global player.
